You have had a bank account for a few years. Recently you received a letter from the bank stating that your account is $240 overdrawn and that you will be charged $70 which will be taken directly from your account. You know that this information is incorrect.
Write a letter to the bank. Explain what has happened and say what you would like them to do about it.
Dear Sir,
I am writing in response to a letter that I received from your bank dated 11 February 2021. It states that my account is overdrawn by $240 and I will be charged $70 which will be taken directly from my account.
Let me make it clear to you that the housing loan was paid on a monthly basis through your bank. Recently, when I got my annual bonus I cleared all my dues with Prestige Developers on 1 November 2020. I had also sent you the receipt of the transaction made and had stated in the letter that no further deductions must be made as the loan is cleared. I also received a letter from your bank acknowledging the same.
There is an enclosed copy of the letter from your bank so that you can verify the information stated and do the needful. Since it is an error of the bank, I would be obliged, if you could reimburse the amount to my account after contacting the developers to return the money.
Waiting to hear from you at the earliest.
Yours faithfully,
Sumiya
