The maps illustrate the main changes that have taken place in Denham town from 1986 until the present moment. Overall, there have been many spectacular developments, the main one being the significant growth in the number of houses and a drastic decline of farmland.
In 1986, a primary school, which was located in the middle of the town, currently has been extended. To the east of the river stroke, there was just a handful of houses along with a few shops and a post office. However, now, the shops are demolished in favor of the construction of a tremendous number of residential properties. Nevertheless, the post office stands as it did in 1986. Besides, by-lanes are established for access to the new build houses along the road leading through the bridge which remained unchanged over the period.
In addition, the garden, which was seen to the south of the primary school, has been redeveloped for further housing. Also, the large house in it has been enlarged and transformed into a retirement home. The footpath that connected the northern river stroke to the garden is completely removed.
