A person’s worth nowadays seems to be judged according to social status and material possessions. Old-fashioned values, such as honor, kindness, and trust, no longer seem important.

Band 7 Essay
As we are living in an epoch of the modern world, parameters for judging the people are getting changed. Individuals are now being judged on the basis of their wealth and status rather than their kindness and loyalty. I also agree with this statement to a certain extent but I think that there are many people who still consider the other factors apart from opulence.
Undoubtedly, people always judge others by looking at their material possessions and status they carry in society but at last, people remember those personalities who have done generous work and their nature to treat people who are lower than them in terms of wealth.
For example, Bill gates is an eminent personality because he does philanthropic work even though he is having enormous assets with him. And there is one popular saying that “We should not judge a book by its cover” so people must consider good deeds done by other irrespective of how affluent they are.
Furthermore, there are people who still judge others based on their net worth and social status. The biggest example of this is adolescents. It is generally seen that adolescents always follow the footprint of celebrities without ascertaining the background of them. They merely judge them by their physical appearance and wealth which is due to the popularity these celebrities are obtaining on social media. However, various studies have shown that most of these people never respect family values and they chase the dream of earning money only which is not at all feasible in living a good life.
Overall, I agree that people are being judged mainly on the basis of their social status and property but the person who are loyal and loveable remains in heart forever. Therefore, other factors also play an integral role in judging the mankind.
