- Explain how you felt about the apology
To err is human. Therefore I am always considerate toward those who accept their mistake and apologize for it. I vividly remember 6 months back when I was preparing for my competitive exam and prior to the exam day, I felt hungry.
Unfortunately, that day my family had gone out to a function, and starvation made my concentration waver. I didn’t want to waste time preparing food so I decided to order food online.
Within 30 minutes, I received my order and I was over the moon. But soon my elation disappeared when I got to know that I received the wrong order. My hunger frustrated me and I called the delivery boy and yelled at him for his mistake.
He was a 19 years old boy and on realizing his mistake, he immediately apologized to me. He told me he was in a hurry due to a distress call he just received from his family that’s why he got the orders mixed. After hearing his side of the story, I felt ashamed for my impulsive behavior and apologized in return. After that incident, I always measure my words before speaking.
